Kilncare

Kilncare have been hand-building pottery kilns in Stoke-on-Trent since 1982 — a three-generation family business making the UK's best-selling home pottery kilns. Every kiln is built in their Staffordshire factory by potters who know the craft. We stock 32 Kilncare SKUs across the Ikon top-loaders, Artizan front-loaders, EN enamelling kilns, fusing kilns and glass-bead kilns, plus the spare parts, elements and controller upgrades to keep them firing for decades.

Kilncare Ikon range — top-loading pottery kilns

The Ikon range is Kilncare's flagship line of top-loading pottery kilns, designed and built for UK home studios and small workshops. Models run from the compact 13A plug-in Ikon V46 (46L, ideal for beginners and small spaces) through the popular Ikon V61E (61L, 13A) and Ikon V61X (61L, 16A faster firing) up to the studio-scale Ikon V80 (80L, 16A) and Ikon V100 (100L, 32A). The flagship Ikon V61 GXR ships with a free furniture kit. Every Ikon comes with a Bentrup TC controller as standard, programmable for bisque, glaze and crystal firings up to 1300°C.

Kilncare Artizan range — front-loading studio kilns

The Artizan range is Kilncare's front-loading line for studio potters and schools who need higher capacity and easier loading. The Artizan 90 (90L), Artizan 139 (139L) and Artizan 200 (200L) all run on single-phase or three-phase depending on size, with matching furniture kits available. Front-loading layout is the right choice if you're loading heavy work, sculptural pieces, or large platters — no awkward reaching down into a top-loader.

Kilncare EN enamelling kilns

For jewellers, enamellers and small-scale glass workers, Kilncare make the dedicated EN2 and EN3 enamelling kilns — compact, fast-firing kilns built specifically for enamelling temperatures and cycles. Both plug into a standard 13A UK socket and reach working temperature quickly enough for production schedules.

Kilncare fusing and glass-bead kilns

Kilncare also build a specialist line for glass artists: the Hobbyfuser for hobby-scale fusing, the Eco-Fuser for energy-efficient slumping and fusing, and the SG2 stained glass kiln. For lampworkers and bead-makers, the Maxi Glass Bead Kiln is purpose-built for annealing soft and borosilicate glass beads.

Spares, controllers and accessories

We stock genuine Kilncare elements (V46, V61E, V61X, V61GXR), the WiFi-enabled KCR32C WiFi Kiln Controller (and the retrofit upgrade), MAG diamond discs and disc sets, plus the Westi drum and Mag glass grinders — everything to keep a Kilncare kiln running for decades.

Why Kilncare?

Three things set Kilncare apart for UK potters. Made in the UK — every kiln is built in Stoke-on-Trent, not imported. Real support — the technical team are potters and engineers based in the same factory; if something goes wrong they answer the phone. Built to last — Kilncare kilns routinely run for 20+ years with element replacements. Backed by a 3-year warranty as standard.

Which Kilncare kiln is right for you?

If you're a beginner or short on space and want a kiln you can plug into a normal UK socket, start with the Ikon V46 (13A, 46L) or V61E (13A, 61L). If you're firing regularly and want faster cycles, step up to a 16A V61X or V80 — you'll need a dedicated 16A circuit. For studios and schools the front-loading Artizan 90, 139 or 200 is the right call. For specialist work, the EN enamelling kilns, Hobbyfuser, Eco-Fuser, SG2 and Maxi cover jewellery, glass and lampwork. Not sure? Read our UK pottery kiln buying guide or get in touch — we're UK potters using this kit ourselves, happy to talk it through.

Free UK delivery is included on most Kilncare kilns over £500. We also stock the matching home pottery kilns, pottery wheels and clay extruders to build out a complete studio.
