Production-Scale Capacity, Professional Build
The Artizan 139 sits between the 90 and 200 in the Artizan range ā the right size for studios and schools that need serious capacity but don't require the full scale of the 200. At 139 litres, you're firing large sculptural pieces, significant batch loads, and the kind of output that defines a genuinely productive studio or active ceramics programme.
The front-loading design matters at this scale in a way it simply doesn't for smaller kilns. A 139-litre kiln loaded from the top would require reaching deep into the chamber to place furniture and position pieces accurately ā physically demanding and difficult to do safely with large work. The Artizan 139's front-loading door gives you comfortable access to the whole chamber from floor level, which makes the difference between a loading process that's manageable and one that's genuinely difficult.
Kanthal A1 elements and advanced door sealing deliver the consistency that makes a kiln at this scale worth the investment. Inconsistent firings in a 139-litre kiln mean a large amount of work at risk ā the Artizan 139 is built so that doesn't happen.
