A compact de-airing pugmill for small studios and educational settings. Efficiently prepares clay for extrusion, hand-building, and tile production while saving space.
The Gladstone G48 70mm De-Airing Pugmill is designed to bring professional-grade clay preparation to smaller studios and classrooms. Its compact footprint and robust construction allow it to process clay efficiently without sacrificing quality, making it ideal for educational and low-volume production environments.
Constructed with aluminium barrels and nose cone and fitted with Nylatron blades, the G48 ensures effective de-airing and long-term durability. The in-line helical motor and reduction gearbox provide smooth, reliable operation, while the split-body and removable shredder plates make cleaning and maintenance simple.
With a 7 kg batch capacity and output of approximately 220 kg per hour, the G48 handles small quantities efficiently. Optional die plates and a tile nose cone with dies allow a variety of clay forms, making it versatile for coils, tiles, and other small-scale extrusion tasks. Its compact size (1260 × 310 × 470 mm) ensures it fits easily into small studios or classrooms, while the powder-coated finish provides durability and resilience over time.
