Sixty to ninety seconds, filmed on your phone, exactly as things are. Don't edit it and don't tidy up first — honestly, the rough ones are the ones that help people.

One form, two minutes. Upload your video in it if you can — and if it's too big, or you'd rather use WhatsApp, leave that bit blank and we'll show you where to send it.

What to say

Six things, in this order. Read them off your phone if it helps — most people do.

  1. "I'm [name], I live in [town], and I mostly make [mugs, bowls, whatever it is]."
  2. "Before the wheel arrived, the thing stopping me was…"
  3. "What I was actually worried about when I was about to buy was…"
  4. "What made me go for it in the end was…"
  5. "Where it lives now, and when I actually use it, is…"
  6. "The best moment so far has been…"

One thing that does matter: turn the radio off. Music playing in the background belongs to somebody else and it means we can't use the video.

Trouble with the form? You'll need to be signed into a Google account to upload a file — that's Google's rule, not ours. If it won't play ball, just email us at support@kilncrafts.co.uk and we'll sort it out between us.
