Professional Capacity for Regular Studio Use

The Topworker 80 is Potterycrafts' entry into the professional studio top-loading range — 80 litres of firing space designed for the demands of regular production use in studios, schools, and colleges. At this capacity, you're firing meaningful batch loads, running a proper ceramics programme, or supporting the output of a busy studio without multiple firings to process each week's work.

The stainless steel frame gives the Topworker its characteristic durability in active studio environments. Unlike powder-coated steel frames that can chip and corrode over time in damp studio conditions, stainless resists corrosion through years of studio use. Combined with 76mm brick walls and 25mm backup insulation, the Topworker 80 is built to perform consistently under the kind of regular use that would degrade a less robust kiln.

Like all Potterycrafts studio kilns, the Topworker 80 requires a dedicated hardwired electrical circuit. At 6.5kW and 32A, a qualified electrician is needed for installation. Call us before ordering and we'll talk through the electrical requirements for your studio.

The Topworker 80 Is Right For You If

  • You need a professional studio top-loader at 80 litres
  • You run a school ceramics programme or shared studio
  • You want stainless steel durability for long-term studio use
  • You fire regularly and need consistent results across batch loads
  • You're ready to step up from hobby kiln capacity to proper studio scale

What the Topworker Delivers

80-Litre Top-Loading Chamber

Professional studio capacity in the top-loading format that makes loading large, varied batches straightforward. At 80 litres, you're running genuine production sessions — multiple shelves of different-sized pieces, full school class loads, or batch firings that represent a week's making in a productive studio. The internal dimensions (46cm wide × 46.5cm high) give you comfortable room for pieces at multiple heights.

Built-In Safety Features

Dual contactors and over-temperature monitoring (when used with Potterycrafts controllers), captive interlock safety switch, side vent with chimney, lid vent holes, Type R thermocouple, and full ROHS and WEEE compliance. The Topworker's safety specification is consistent with Potterycrafts' professional studio kilns — not a simplified version for the top-loading format.

Made in the Potteries

Designed and manufactured in Stoke-on-Trent — the heart of British ceramics. Potterycrafts kilns are trusted by studios and schools across Europe, and all spare parts are stocked at the Stoke factory. If you need a replacement element or component, you're not waiting on an international supply chain.

The CERA-10+ WiFi controller lets you monitor and control the Topworker 80 remotely via the GATEway app — useful for studios that fire overnight or want to check on long stoneware cycles without being present. Optional at point of order.
