The Premium Front-Loading Specification
The Heatworker range is Potterycrafts' premium front-loading line — distinguished from the Fireworker and Lightmaster ranges by a fundamentally different element system. Where conventional kilns mount elements in grooves cut into the brickwork, Heatworker kilns suspend the elements in free air inside ceramic tubes. This isn't a cosmetic difference — it changes how the kiln performs in several meaningful ways.
Because the elements aren't embedded in brick grooves, they reach a higher maximum temperature (1320°C versus 1300°C for grooved systems). The brickwork isn't weakened by grooves, extending chamber life. Element replacement is simpler — elements slide out of tubes without disturbing the brickwork. And heat enters the chamber more directly from the radiant surface of the elements rather than being partially absorbed by surrounding brick.
The Heatworker 90 is 90 litres — enough for serious studio output or a substantial school programme — with a 6kW system on a 30A single-phase supply (3-phase available on request). At this specification, it's the right kiln for studios and schools that want the best Potterycrafts make.
