Not sure which kiln is right for you?

PotterycraftsHeatworker 90 Front Loading Kiln

The entry point into Potterycrafts' premium Heatworker range. 90 litres, tube-mounted elements, 1320°C maximum — a technically superior front-loading kiln for studios and schools that want the best.

  • Tube-mounted elements: Elements hang in free air inside ceramic tubes — not grooved into brickwork. Higher max temp, longer brickwork life, easier element changes.
  • 1320°C maximum: The Heatworker's tube system achieves 20°C higher than grooved kilns — more headroom for high-fire work.
  • 90-litre front-loading: Professional studio capacity with the access advantages of front-loading design.
  • Type R thermocouple: Precision accuracy across the full firing range, including demanding high-fire applications.
  • Made in Stoke-on-Trent: Premium Potterycrafts engineering at the top of the front-loading range.

The Premium Front-Loading Specification

The Heatworker range is Potterycrafts' premium front-loading line — distinguished from the Fireworker and Lightmaster ranges by a fundamentally different element system. Where conventional kilns mount elements in grooves cut into the brickwork, Heatworker kilns suspend the elements in free air inside ceramic tubes. This isn't a cosmetic difference — it changes how the kiln performs in several meaningful ways.

Because the elements aren't embedded in brick grooves, they reach a higher maximum temperature (1320°C versus 1300°C for grooved systems). The brickwork isn't weakened by grooves, extending chamber life. Element replacement is simpler — elements slide out of tubes without disturbing the brickwork. And heat enters the chamber more directly from the radiant surface of the elements rather than being partially absorbed by surrounding brick.

The Heatworker 90 is 90 litres — enough for serious studio output or a substantial school programme — with a 6kW system on a 30A single-phase supply (3-phase available on request). At this specification, it's the right kiln for studios and schools that want the best Potterycrafts make.

The Heatworker 90 Is Right For You If

  • You want the premium tubed-element specification
  • You work at 1320°C for high-fire stoneware or demanding glazes
  • You want easier element replacement for long-term lower maintenance
  • You need 90 litres of front-loading professional capacity
  • You want the technical advantages of the Heatworker over the standard Fireworker

What Makes the Heatworker Different

Tube-Mounted Element System

The Heatworker range uses a tube-mounted element system — elements are suspended in free air inside ceramic tubes, rather than sitting in grooves cut into the brickwork. This delivers several meaningful advantages: higher maximum temperature (1320°C vs 1300°C for grooved systems), easier element replacement without disturbing the brickwork, no grooves weakening the chamber walls, reduced stress on elements from thermal expansion, and radiant heat entering the chamber more directly. It's the engineering distinction that makes the Heatworker the premium choice in the Potterycrafts front-loading range.

Made in the Potteries

Designed and built in Stoke-on-Trent — the historic heart of British ceramics. Potterycrafts are among Europe's best-selling kiln brands, with a reputation built on consistent quality and long-term reliability. All spare parts are stocked at the Stoke factory, ensuring you're not reliant on international supply chains for ongoing service and maintenance.

CERA-10+ Controller Options

Compatible with the CERA-10+ controller (32 programmes × 32 segments per programme) and CERA-10+ WiFi for remote control via the GATEway app. Both controllers provide precise ramp-and-hold programming, clear display, and the flexibility to handle everything from simple earthenware bisque to complex high-fire glaze cycles. Optional at point of order.

3-phase supply available at 10A per phase on request at point of order. If your studio has 3-phase available, this reduces individual circuit requirements while delivering the same performance.
