The Same Kiln, Smarter Door Design

A standard front-loading kiln door swings fully to one side — which requires clear space to the side of the kiln for the door to open completely. In a busy studio, that clearance is not always available. The Falcon Compact CP addresses this with a centre pivot door that opens symmetrically from its centre point, splitting the swing equally either side. The result is significantly less clearance needed in front of and beside the kiln.

Internally, the Compact CP is the same kiln as the standard Falcon range — the same highly thermally efficient construction, the same high-grade spiral wound elements in the sidewall and base, the same electro-mechanical door interlock safety system, and the same 1300 degrees C maximum temperature. The only change is the door mechanism, and that change is driven entirely by practical studio considerations.

The TCS2 series controller is available as an option at the point of order — choose with or without depending on your control requirements and existing setup.

The Falcon CP 160L CP Is Right For You If

What Makes the Compact CP Different

Centre Pivot Door Design

The door pivots from its centre point rather than its edge — so instead of swinging 90 degrees to one side, it opens with an equal arc each way. The practical benefit is clear: you need less clearance in front of and beside the kiln to fully open the door. In a compact studio, a shared workspace, or any setting where kiln placement is constrained, the CP design solves a real problem.

Same Falcon Internal Construction

Everything inside the Compact CP is identical to the standard Falcon range — thermally efficient construction, high-grade spiral wound elements in both the sidewall and base, over-temperature protection, and ventilation cooling ports. The same quality of firing performance and the same consistent results. The CP design is a practical accommodation, not a compromise on internal specification.

With or Without Controller

The Compact CP is available at point of order with the TCS2 series programmable controller or without. If you already have a controller setup or prefer to add one later, you can order the kiln only. If you want full TCS2 digital control with 32 programmable firing segments from day one, choose the with-controller option. Both are available — just confirm your preference when ordering.

Requires a dedicated 50AA hardwired single-phase supply installed by a qualified electrician. 3-phase option available at 20AA per phase on request at point of order. Call us on 01206 648025 before ordering to confirm electrical requirements.
