Top-series toploaders (16L–220L)

The Nabertherm Top range is the entry point for studios and home potters who want German precision in a compact toploading footprint. Sizes step from the bench-friendly Top 16/R through the popular Top 45, Top 60, Top 80, Top 100, Top 130, Top 140, Top 160 and Top 190, up to the studio-grade Top 220. Every Top kiln ships with the AC590 controller for accurate firing programs across earthenware, stoneware, glass and on-glaze decoration. The Nabertherm 45L Home Kiln is our most-asked-about UK home model — runs on a 13A plug, fits in a domestic studio, and gives you Nabertherm precision without three-phase wiring.

N-series front-loading chamber kilns (N100–N2200)

The N-series is Nabertherm's front-loading chamber line, sized from the N100 (100L) for serious studio production, through N150, N200, N300, N1000, N1500 up to the N2200 (2,200L) for production studios and educational institutions. Front-loading is preferred where the operator needs to set heavy work on shelves rather than lower it from above. The N/E series chamber kilns add cost-engineered options for budget-conscious studios; the N/H series suits higher-temperature applications.

HO toploading rectangular kilns + furniture kits

The Nabertherm HO series gives you a rectangular toploading footprint when you need to fire long flat pieces (tiles, slab work) that don't suit a circular chamber. Every Top and N model has a matching kiln furniture kit in stock — Top 45, Top 60, Top 80/100, Top 130/160/190, Top 140, Top 220, plus full N100, N150, N200, N1000, N1500 and N2200 sets so you can equip the chamber from day one.

Why Nabertherm?

Nabertherm have been building thermal-process equipment in Lilienthal, Germany since 1947. Their craft kilns use the same engineering philosophy as their industrial heat-treatment furnaces: heavy-duty steel housing, precise multi-zone heating elements, energy-efficient insulation and a mature controller platform (AC590 / B400 / B500) with proven firing programs. For a UK potter that translates into accurate temperature control, repeatable firing results, and a kiln that holds up over 10–20+ years of regular use. We back the range with UK delivery, set-up advice, and ongoing support — call 01206 648025 or read our UK pottery kiln buying guide for 2026 if you'd like to talk through which Nabertherm model fits your studio.

Which Nabertherm size?

For most UK home potters: a Top 45 or Top 60 on a 13A plug covers earthenware and most stoneware production without needing a Part P electrician. For larger studio output or schools: Top 100 / Top 130 typically need 16A or 32A wiring (a Part P-registered electrician should sign off the install). For production studios firing large stoneware, sculpture or commercial volumes: the N100–N300 front-loaders give you chamber capacity without the lifting workload of a deep toploader. Nabertherm sit in our wider pottery kilns for home range alongside Kilncare, Gladstone and Kilns & Furnaces — happy to compare brands if you're undecided.
